Our polyurethane-based (PUR) coating systems usually contain diisocyanates, which are essential for the chemical reaction in the coating film to give our PUR products special chemical and physical resistance.
On the initiative of the European Commission, new regulations for the handling of chemical products containing diisocyanates are being introduced under the REACH Regulation.
Accordingly, this regulation will apply to all users of products containing diisocyanates from 24 August 2023.
We have worked intensively on the conversion of our products and a large part of our hardeners already undercut the permissible limit value. Our goal is to adapt all affected materials as soon as possible. This change has no influence on the product quality you are familiar with.
We therefore offer our customers free online training. The aim of this approx. 70-minute training is to train our customers‘ employees in the responsible handling of the products concerned. By participating in this time-efficient training, the participants finally receive a certificate that allows them to continue processing PUR products.
